AI RECEPTIONIST FOR WORKING BUSINESSES

When you can’t answer, Nova can.

A customer called because they needed something. If you are under a house, on a roof, driving, or helping someone else, AfterTone gives that call somewhere useful to go. Nova answers using information and rules configured around your business.

Your existing business number stays public. Carrier-specific forwarding routes the calls you choose into AfterTone.

BUILT AROUND REAL CALLS

You keep working. The call still gets attention.

AfterTone is for businesses where answering the phone competes with doing the work. Nova is not a generic chatbot with a number; she is configured around how your business actually handles callers.

01

Answer and identify your business

Nova greets callers for your business and follows the information, boundaries, and call-handling rules you approve.

02

Understand why they called

Configured caller intents, services, lead types, common questions, and escalation rules help Nova choose a useful next step.

03

Schedule when connected

If you choose scheduling, connect Google Calendar, select the right calendar, and approve the rules, Nova can check live availability and book appointments.

04

Use a safe fallback

Transfer, escalation, and voicemail behavior are configured for your business so a call has somewhere appropriate to go when Nova cannot finish it.

05

Keep the context together

Your workspace brings together calls, captured leads, appointments, voicemail, assignments, notes, and follow-up status for authorized team members.

06

Add text recovery after approval

Missed-call text recovery is activated only after the required customer authorization, carrier registration, configuration, and testing are complete.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What Customer #1 should know.

Do I keep my existing business number?

Yes. Customers keep calling the number they already know. AfterTone provides a dedicated number behind the setup, and carrier-specific forwarding routes the unanswered, busy, or other agreed calls you choose. We help configure and test the routing.

What does Nova do?

Nova is AfterTone’s AI voice receptionist. She can answer routed calls, identify your business, handle configured questions and caller intents, capture relevant information, follow transfer or escalation rules, and use voicemail or another safe fallback when necessary.

Can Nova schedule appointments?

Yes, when you choose scheduling and Google Calendar is connected, the correct calendar is selected, and your availability and appointment rules are configured and tested. Google Calendar is the current live scheduling provider.

How does missed-call text recovery work?

Text recovery is configured customer by customer. It becomes available only after the required authorization, consent setup, telecom registration, provider approval, messaging configuration, and acceptance testing are complete. Paying does not turn texting on immediately.

How much does AfterTone cost?

AfterTone Essential is $249 to get started. That includes setup, your first month, and up to 400 pooled Nova voice minutes. After the included month, Essential is $149 per month with up to 400 pooled Nova voice minutes.

When does my included first month start?

It starts when your configured AfterTone service is activated for production. It does not start when you apply, accept the agreement, pay, complete setup, or receive a recovery number.

How long does setup take?

Timing depends on how quickly setup information and phone access are available, your carrier configuration, any required provider approvals, and successful testing. We guide the process, but we do not promise instant or same-day activation.

Do I have to configure everything myself?

No. You provide your business facts, access, and approvals; AfterTone handles the technical configuration and guides the phone setup. We test the system before considering it ready.

Can I control what Nova says?

Yes. You review the current business-specific Nova configuration before it is approved for production. Material changes create a new version that requires review rather than silently changing an approved setup.

What if Nova cannot handle a call?

Transfer, escalation, voicemail, and fallback behavior are configured for your business. Nova is not presented as emergency services or a replacement for human judgment.
